Isla is a Kali daughter, from the Steadmor’s Stitch ‘N Time breeding, and is exactly what we were hoping would be produced with this combination of pedigrees.
Isla had an amazing time at the 2013 Golden Retriever Club of Canada’s National Specialty! Under Breeder/Judge Henric Fryckstrand (Dewmist Golden Retrievers) Isla wins her 12-18 month class and is awarded Reserve Winners Bitch. The next day Isla is awarded Best Of Opposite Sex in Speciality Sweeps and at the Maritime Golden Retriever Club Speciality again wins her class and is awarded Reserve Winners Bitch under Breeder/Judge Howard Falberg (Westmont Golden Retrievers). During the Halifax Kennel Club shows (held the same weekend) Isla wins the Bred By Exhibitor class under Breeder/Judges Doug Windsor (Butterblac Golden Retrievers) and Ainslie Mills (Oriana Golden Retrievers), and wins her 12-18 month class and is awarded Winners Bitch (for 5 points) under Breeder/Judge Wendy Schira (Butterblac Golden Retrievers) to finish her Championship!
Isla ventured out to her first show since the 2013 national in June of 2014, to our delight she went Best of Breed 2 out of 3 days, and was awarded her first Sporting Group First!! Since then Isla has picked up another Sporting Group First, Second, and Multi Best of Breeds. Being shown a few more weekends, Isla ended 2014 as the #5 Golden Retriever (in breed points) in Canada!!
